There’s A Super Hybrid & A New Putter In Town – The Paradym Super Hybrid & The SoundTouch Putter!

By Dr. Barry Lotz, Inside Golf

Callaway has developed a club that should be carried by the majority of golfers — the Paradym Super Hybrid.

What a pleasure it is to see this oversized hybrid, ultra-high strength titanium club, deliver incredible power, distance, and a low dispersion rate. Our testing group at Torrey Pines was totally enamoured with the club.

It's impressively long, the kind of long that makes you reach par 4s and par 5s in regulation!

For those seeking a longer solution for their long game but finding fairway woods less agreeable, the Callaway Paradym Super Hybrid deserves a spot on their list of must-try clubs. This club boasts exceptional speed and user-friendliness. Combine these features with a variety of loft options and adjustability, and you have an option that seamlessly fits into almost any setup.

While the majority of fairway woods and hybrids utilize stainless steel due to its robustness and durability, the Paradym Super Hybrid dares to differ. Its titanium body, forged titanium face, and carbon fibre crown collectively contribute to weight reduction, enabling Callaway to craft the Paradym Super Hybrid into a significantly larger club. A prime example is the 21° Paradym Super 4-hybrid, boasting a voluminous 144 cubic centimetres — a dimension nearly mirroring the Paradym 7-wood (145 cubic centimetres).

Our mid- to high-handicap testers felt the size of the club was very reassuring. They loved how the club sat at the address. A feeling of “cannot miss with this club” was the underlying evocation. They loved the extreme forgiveness of the club!

An all-titanium body allows for a larger overall footprint designed for this extreme forgiveness. The Paradym Super Hybrid will be your go-to club on precise shots and everywhere else.

The Paradym Super Hybrid leverages advanced materials used in driver design to create a hybrid with driver-like power. A lightweight yet incredibly strong A.I-designed titanium face creates explosive speed and incredible distance. The hybrid has a carbon fibre crown, titanium body, forged titanium face, and an adjustable hosel to facilitate fine-tuning the club’s height.

Callaway’s USP (Unique Selling Proposition) is that it has added driver-style materials and technology to a hybrid, resulting in a club made to deliver a major power boost, both off the tee and from the fairway.

Up to 91g of tungsten and steel speed cartridges are paired with the triaxial carbon crown to precisely position the CG (Center of gravity) for a more penetrating and higher launch.

The complete adjustability of the club is enhanced with Callaway’s best-of-kind, lightweight OptiFit 3 Hosel, which helps you dial in the ball flight and launch that you want to see and need to max out your shots.

If you struggle to hit your fairway woods consistently or face a narrow tee shot that requires power and precision, then the all-new Paradym Super Hybrid is designed specifically to be easier to hit than a fairway wood and to give you the confidence to take on the most demanding shots.

The SoundTouch Putter, featuring the RolyPoly shaft, is a work of art and an absolutely hole-seeking marvel.

The RolyPoly all-carbon shaft turns any putter into a hole-seeking wizard on the green. With the lowest balance point of any putter on the market, it promotes a super steady pendulum stroke, while the hexagonal carbon grip end provides accurate feedback to the hands at impact.

The technology in the SoundTouch putter makes it possible for a player to clearly see where the putter is aligned because they can walk behind it while it stands alone.

SoundTouch Putter head

The specially designed head has several sound slots that are located precisely to emit a certain sound when struck in the middle of the face. The sound will differ when struck off-center.

With practice, the golfer will be able to know by sound alone whether the putt was well-struck. They also will be able to associate the sound with the feel of distance.

SoundTouch then developed a unique sole design that helps the putter stand-alone without interfering with the ground during the swing.

RolyPoly shaft

Uncut at 36.5", weighing 48g, and with a hexagonal black carbon grip and watercolor shaft, the ultralight shaft, in conjunction with the aforementioned sole design, allows the putter to stand on its own as the balance point is located super low to the putter head.

This makes the putter head feel heavier and promotes a smooth pendulum stroke. The full carbon shaft and grip allow for great feedback to the hands after the putt is struck.

A unique feature of the RolyPoly shaft is when the grip is held firmly during putting, the ball rolls out further (good for slow greens). When the grip is held lightly, the ball travels less far (good for fast greens).

The RolyPoly putter shaft is to be cut at the tip to fit into putter heads.

The putter is priced at $500.00 and available at www.freeflexshaft.com
