ORLANDO, Florida (Lisa "Longball" Vlooswyk) — The PGA Show, also referred to as the "MAJOR of Golf Business,” is held annually in Orlando, Florida every January. Here are some Canadian companies that were featured at the show:


Dormie Golf Workshop

This company specializes in handmade leather products with a speciality in customizing products and designs for customers. It is founded and owned by brothers Jeff and Todd Bishop from Nova Scotia. They started off focusing on Headcovers for drivers and fairway woods, but have since expanded their business to include baseball hats, toques, pin flags and shag bags. New for 2018 are hybrid club covers that can also double as a sunglasses holder, mallet putter covers, a passport holder which could also be used as a notebook or design pad and a portfolio book complete with regal style closure.

The idea for Uther started when Torontonian and golf enthusiast Daniel Erdman became frustrated by the poor quality of golf towels on the market. He decided to create a premium fashionable towel that not only would last but add style to a golf bag. Going into its second year of business the company has grown from 11 to 18 designs, and have added gloves, bucket hats and baseball hats to the collection. Design names include Flamingo Lake, Azaleas of Augusta and of course Oh Canada.

Vancouver based high performance men’s athletic underwear company 2UNDR has expanded aggressively for 2018. They have introduced products including lounge wear, luxury t-shirts, hats, bags and socks. A new line of their signature underwear product is Night Shift with a focus on luxurious comfort versus active comfort. New hot styles for 2018 include Campers, Weiners Year of the Dog and Pamplona. The introductory bag line for 2UNDR includes duffel bag, cooler pack, carry on and toiletry bag. The pattern is entitled Bella Rock designed by KC Hall, one of the 2UNDR warehouse employees who hails from Bella Bella, BC. Hall studied fromline design and graduated from the Native Education College.

Chronogolf is a complete golf course management software company headquartered in Montreal, with offices in Vancouver, Toronto and Paris. It provides software and marketing solutions to golf courses ranging from online booking, electronic tee-sheet, members management, tournaments management, customer loyalty and point of sale solutions for pro shops, snack bars and restaurants. It was developed in 2012 by PGA of Canada professionals. It reduces operating costs for courses by eliminating the need for servers and IT support. Chronogolf also provides easy access to tee times at over 400 courses the majority of which are in Canada.

This Canadian apparel company specializes in performance wear and has an extensive golf and leisure line. The 2018 line was designed around athletic performance and fabrics. The active mid layer has been popular with golfers and the outerwear is designed to be worn both on and off the course. Hot this year for women is the Verve line created to be transitional active wear with premium fabrics, to take women from the gym to the coffee shop. Levelwear is the official partner of the RBC Canadian Open, CN Women’s Open and 8 of Golf Canada’s National Amateur events. In addition to having a full golf apparel line for men, women and juniors it also provides licenced  active and casual wear  for  fans of the NHL, NBA, CFL, European Soccer and College.
