Nanaimo’s Wilson Wins Low Overall In MJT Playing Under Par Series At Golden Eagle

Tournament Highlights:

  • The Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour (MJT), Canada’s number one-played junior tour, hosts the first tournament of four in the MJT Playing Under Par series for this season, at the Golden Eagle Golf Club, in Pitt Meadows, BC.
  • Over 100 top junior golfers compete, braving the chilly and wet spring weather.
  • Mathew Wilson, 15, of Nanaimo, BC, fires consistent rounds of 72-71 (143) en route to being crowned MJT Juvenile and Low Overall Boys Champion, and earns an exemption into the ATB Future Stars Invitational in Edmonton, AB, this June.
  • Tina Jiang, 17, of Richmond, BC, shoots outstanding scores of 77-72 (149), winning the MJT Girls 15-19 title along with Low Overall Girls Champion, and earns an AJGA PBE Star.
  • Eight golfers qualify for the FCG Callaway World Championship in California, USA, this July.
