The Focaline Pro Visualization Aid Ball Marker & Training Aid For Tour Players, Caddies, Golf Teachers & Individual Golfers

By DR. BARRY LOTZ, Inside Golf

Every once in a while a golf product comes to market that is a game changer. Focaline is one of these products. Instead of superfluous data and facts regarding the benefits, I have chosen to enumerate these in a nutshell.

Take A Look At The Lines On The Ball Above. Both The Vertical And Horizontal Lines Are Curved (Arced), Not Straight.

Focaline Pro Benefits

  1. USGA/R&A approved for tournament play.
  2. Patent Pending. No other product does, or can do, what Focaline Pro does, because its design, having the alignment arrow rotate through an axis in the center of the golf ball, makes it unique and is the crux of the patent.
  3. Focaline speeds up play by allowing alignment to target line prior to your turn to putt.
  4. The line on a golf ball is an arc, not truly a straight line. Every time the player moves, the line changes shape. It is inherently inaccurate. Nobody would ever choose a curved line to aim with, if given the choice to use a straight line.
  5. The line on the Focaline is always straight. It is more accurate than a line on the ball.
  6. The caddie can adjust the arrow for the player, which allows the player to move back behind the marker to get a better perspective and have the caddie adjust the arrow while he is behind the Focaline.
  7. Focaline is a great communication device for player and caddie. Eliminates any confusion between what the player and caddie are thinking.
  8. The Focaline shows the exact line the player has determined and now he and the caddie can be on the exact same page. The caddie can see exactly what the player is thinking/seeing. Conversely, the caddie could adjust the arrow to where he believes the break to be and the player can see exactly what the caddie is thinking.
  9. When you read the putt from the opposite side of the hole, you can now see exactly where the putt was originally aligned. If the player determines a new line while on the opposite side of the hole, they can have the caddie change the Focaline arrow position while they are on the opposite side instead of going back to the coin/ball and guessing where that line is. This is much more accurate and effective and it speeds up play.
  10. When using a coin to mark, you have no reference point to your line. As you circle the hole, you lose perspective of your original line and have to constantly reorient and recalculate the line. With Focaline, you always know where your original line was so you have a point of reference for reading from other angles.
  11. Putting is as much mental as it is physical. Most putts are missed because the player did not make a committed stroke, due to some indecision. Focaline provides both visual confirmation and positive reinforcement that lead to a committed stroke and more putts holed.
  12. What is the value of one more putt made in a round, or even in a tournament? Focaline could be the single most important piece of equipment outside of your clubs and ball.

With regard to “regular” golfers, the biggest benefit, in my opinion, for the regular golfer is sinking more 4’ – 10’ putts. Using the Focaline Pro reinforces the correct line, leading to more confidence and more commitment. That commitment leads to a more positive stroke and more putts holed.

Sinking more putts has a spill-over effect to your entire game. Your overall confidence improves. It takes pressure off your short game. You enjoy the game more and your score improves. Win-Win-Win-Win!

One tip for rotating the arrow. The alignment aid should be rotated by the finger along the arced opening to promote smooth movement. Pushing from the rear of the alignment aid can cause it to bind.

The Focaline Pro is made from aircraft grade Aluminum, is UC- coated and is glare resistant.
