Welcome To The New Look Of Women’s Golf Day, A Multi-Lingual Platform For A Truly Global Audience

In response to the continued growth of its global network, Women’s Golf Day (WGD) is unveiling 3 new language versions of its website to reflect the diverse nature of the WGD community and WGD’s commitment to diversity and inclusion. The site is now available in French, Spanish and Japanese – the primary languages spoken by its users – and foreign language content will be also integrated into WGD’s social media activity in preparation for the June 1, 2021 event day.

Elisa Gaudet, founder of Women’s Golf Day explains: “We are now in our 6th year and our community reaches all corners of the globe. 20% of our Facebook followers are French speakers, we have events on every continent and this year launched in Japan with our first course registered location, Hirao Country Club in Toyokawa, thus boosting our presence in Asia. It is the first step in our efforts to ensure that golfers around the world have the best WGD experience.”

Olivier Denis-Massé – Directeur Délégué of the Federation Français de Golfe hopes that the new language version will encourage more venues to sign up for the event. He comments: “The French Golf Federation is happy to support Women’s Golf Day in 2021. It is a terrific event for women in the golfing calendar. Growing the number of women who play golf is important for the future of the sport. Women’s Golf Day events can help to attract new women golfers, and it’s a fantastic opportunity for existing ones to help and guide their friends in their first steps in golf.”

On June 1st women and venues around the world will – where possible – take to the fairways to celebrate Women’s Golf Day. Location registration for Women’s Golf Day 2021, which will take place in June 1st, is now open and anyone signing up using the code WGD2021 before February 28th will enjoy a special savings offer. The new functionality will enable more locations and women to participate in the global event. Women’s Golf Day Sponsors including Callaway, Titleist and FootJoy are focussed on expanding their commitment to making the game more accessible for women. Women’s Golf Day looks forward announcing new and exciting new ways to engage, empower and support women this year.
