Summerland G&CC Has A New Head Professional Getting Ready For The Golf Season - Photo Courtesy Facility
New head professional Tye Babkirk has been busy getting things ready for 2008 at the Summerland G&CC. Babkirk, who spent three seasons at Summerland under long-time pro Bryan Hart from 2003-2006, assumed the reigns in December. Among the highlights for the Summerland G&CC this season is the BCGA Provincial Senior Men’s Championship in August.

Rob Cruise (from Trickle Creek in Kimberley), Wes Danyluk (from Inkameep Canyon in Oliver) and Brodie Carle (formerly of Shannon lake in Westbank) have been added to the professional staff at the Two Eagles GC along Highway 97 in Westbank. "We're really excited about the team we have here this season," grinned head professional Chris Hinton, whose crew was recognized as the 2007 Golf Shop of the year by the BCPGA. Formerly known as Vintage Hills, the facility has undergone an ownership change and some long-term golf course renovations have been given the go ahead. Two Eagles can safely lay claim to the best practice facilities in the area and things are slated to improve even more when a new fitting station is constructed this year, with an enclosed array of state-of-the-art equipment.
